What Eyewear is RIGHT for You?
Know the best eyewear for different face shapes! Choosing the right eyewear will highlight the most attractive features of the face. Here is a brief guide to assist you in making your decision:
- Round Face: Look for rectangular and angular frames to make your face look sharper and longer, which gives definition and harmony to your softer features. Steer clear of oval or round frames that accentuate roundness.
- Square Face: A square face shape features a broad forehead and powerful jaw both having equal dimensions. For these angles, why not try using oval or circular frames to counter these angles? Avoid angular frames because they might give the face a sharpened look. Thin, curving frames are useful in counteracting this.
- Oval Face: Of all the face shapes, an oval is the most suitable for most frames. You may also opt to have any frame shape – square and round! Just ensure that the frames suit the shape of your face; big frames may cause that area to become more prominent and vice versa.
- Heart-Shape Face: Heart shaped faces usually have a wider forehead and small chins. Ideal eyewear should balance the facial features by drawing attention from the forehead. Choose wider frames such as aviator or rimless frames.
- Diamond Shape: Diamond shaped features means that you have wider cheekbones, combined with thin chins and foreheads. Opt for a high-top line to flatter this face shape. Frames like oval or ‘cat-eye’ glasses are perfect.
- Rectangular Face: Rectangular-shaped faces have straight forehead-jaw lines, and the face is longer in comparison to the width. Choose shapes with more extensions, such as square, wide or large-shaped frames.
